The California Alliance works toward a common progressive agenda by developing innovative strategies in public policy and civic participation for communities of color and the poor. The Alliance is comprised of 15 recognized social justice, environmental justice and labor-affiliated organizations. We're based in key regions in California: the bay area, silicon valley, inland valley, Los Angeles, and the San Diego/Tijuana border region.
The California Alliance is predominently led by people of color. From the inner city to the state's rural heartland, Alliance members have built strong organizations that combat root causes of social and economic inequality. Founded in 2003, the Alliance strives toward greater working relationships and trust, political unity, and organizational capacity to provoke effective statewide action.
